Agri goods' producer prices in Croatia down 7.7% y/y in Q3

November 14 (SeeNews) - The average producer prices of agricultural goods in Croatia fell 7.7% on the year in the third quarter of 2023, the country's statistical office said on Tuesday.

The prices of crop products were 16.4% lower compared to the same quarter of 2022, due to a 41.2% drop in prices of cereals and a 33.9% decline in prices of industrial plants, the Croatian Bureau of Statistics said in a quarterly report.

Producer prices of vegetables, flowers and plants increased 29.2%, prices of fruits surged 21.1%, while prices of wine rose 11.2% on the average in the period under review.

The prices of livestock, poultry and animal products increased by 14.5% on the year.

The prices of goods and services used in agriculture fell by 20.2% due to lower prices of energy, fertilisers and animal food products.
