December 11 (SeeNews) - St Nikola wind farm, majority-owned by AES Bulgaria, produced 42,006 MWh of electricity in November — over 40% higher in the same month of last year and the highest November output since the facility was commissioned in 2010, the company said on Monday.

St. Nikola generated a record power output of 330,195 MWh in the January-November period of this year, AES Bulgaria, a subsidiary of US energy conglomerate AES Corporation, said in a press release.

The wind farm's electricity production for 2023 is set to be at an all-time high annual level since its commissioning, should the output rate be maintained in December, the operator added.

Equipped with 52 turbines, the 156 MW St. Nikola onshore wind farm is located near the town of Kavarna on the northern Black Sea coast.
