A1 Croatia raises EBITDA 17.4% in 2023

February 14 (SeeNews) - A1 Telekom Austria Group said its Croatian unit recorded earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) of 189 million euro ($202 million) last year, up from 161 million euro in 2022.

Total revenue increased by 11.6% year-on-year in the reporting period, reaching 525 million euro, as service revenue rose 8.7% to 425 million euro, A1 Telekom Austria Group said in an annual financial statement late on Tuesday.

EBITDA margin of the group's Croatian unit came in at 36% last year, up from 34.2% in 2022.

In a separate press release on Monday, the Croatian unit, A1 Hrvatska, said it invested more than 200 million euro last year, a record high since it started operations. The investments were channelled mostly into accelerated construction of fixed gigabit connections and upgrades of the mobile network.
