13 Jul-Plantaze leads Montenegro blue-chip gainers in Sept, share indices end down

PODGORICA (Montenegro), October 1 (SeeNews) – Montenegrin state-controlled wine producer 13 Jul-Plantaze [MNG:PLAP] led the blue-chip gainers on the Montenegrin stock exchange in September, as stock indices ended down, bourse data indicated.

The blue-chip index of the Montenegro Stock Exchange, MNSE10, closed September at 799.83 points, down 0.84% month-on-month.

The benchmark MONEX index, which tracks the 20 most representative shares on the Montenegro Stock Exchange, fell 0.06% in September, and closed at 11,208.19 points.

13 Jul-Plantaze rose the most among the blue chips in September, adding 8.83% month-on-month to 0.1061 euro, as 45,556 of its shares changed hands in seven transactions. The company generated a share turnover of 4,832 euro.

Montenegro's power transmission system operator Crnogorski Elektroprenosni Sistem (CGES) [MNG:PREN] paced the blue-chip decliners in September, as its share price fell 5.51% on the month to 0.6238 euro. A total of 95,840 of the company's shares changed hands, generating a turnover of 59,785 euro.

Тhe bourse's total turnover rose in September to 57.3 million euro ($627,234) from 573,449 euro euro a month earlier.

A total of 190 transactions were concluded on the bourse in Podgorica in September, versus 192 in August. Stock market capitalisation was 3.443 billion euro at the end of September, down from 3.502 billion euro a month earlier.
