The entire cement industry, particularly in Europe, is focused on reducing carbon emissions in cement and its end product, concrete. The carbon emissions in cement primarily depend on its clinker content, a product formed through high thermal and chemical transformations of limestone and marl, resulting in the release of carbon dioxide. We continuously innovate our green product offerings. We have successfully launched two new types of cement on the market, both with significantly lower clinker content and, consequently, a reduced carbon footprint while maintaining the quality of the cement. One of these products is CEM II/C-M 32.5R, which is new to Bulgaria and Europe and has been produced per the recently adopted EU standard EN 197-5. The other is CEM II/B-LL 42.5R.
