Mar 23, 1955 - The City Council of Skopje establishes Komunalna Banka na Grad Skopje as a community bank in Skopje, the capital of the Socialist Republic of Macedonia, part of Yugoslavia.
Mar 23, 1966 - All community banks in Macedonia, except those in Bitola, Negotino and Ohrid, merge into Komunalna Banka na Grad Skopje, which renames to Komercijalno-Investiciona Banka Skopje.
Feb 9, 1973 - The bank starts operation as a branch of newly-formed Stopanska Banka, resulting from the merger of Komercijalno-Investiciona Banka Skopje, Stopanska Banka Skopje and Komercijalno-Investiciona Banka Bitola.
Jan 5, 1978 - The bank, operating under the name Stopanska Banka - Osnovna Banka Skopje, becomes legally independent but related to Stopanska Banka - Zadrujena Banka Skopje.
Dec 29, 1989 - Stopanska Banka - Osnovna Banka Skopje transforms into a joint stock company and renames to Komercijalna Banka AD Skopje.
May 5, 1998 - The bank establishes local brokerage subsidiary KB Broker AD.
July 31, 2001 - Komercijalna Banka AD takes over the domestic bank Pelagoniska Banka AD, which ceases to exist as a separate legal entity.
Dec 11, 2002 - The bank starts trading on the official market of the Macedonian Stock Exchange.
June 2005 - Komercijalna Banka AD and First Pokojninska druzba of Ljubljana establishes subsidiary KB Prvo Penzisko Drustvo AD.
Feb 9, 2007 - The shares of the bank are transferred to the super quotation segment of the Macedonian Stock Exchange.
October 2008 - The bank is included in the Dow Jones STOXX group of indices.
Apr 25, 2013 - Komercijalna Banka AD acquires additional 14.29% in KB Publikum Invest AD Skopje.
Mar 23, 2018 - Sweden-based investment company Eastnine AB sells its entire 10% stake in Komercijalna Banka AD for EUR 13.9 mln.
Mar 29, 2018 - The local East Capital Explorer Investments AB and affiliated company Salink Ltd. sold their joint 13.07% stake in Komercijalna Banka AD.
Aug 9, 2018 - The Greece-based Piraeus Bank SA announces its plans to sell its 98.83% stake in Albania-based Tirana Bank sh.a. to Balfin Group and Komercijalna Banka AD for a total of EUR 57.3 mln.
Mar 4, 2019 - Komercijalna Banka AD and Balfin Group acquire 98.83% shares in Tirana Bank Sh.a. The bank holds a minority stake.
September 2019 - The bank announces its plans to acquire a stake in the local Eurostandard Bank AD.
Mar 30, 2020 - Local company Adora Inginering DOOEL increases its stake in Komercijalna Banka AD to 12.86% from 10.10%.
