History

    Jan 1, 1964 - Kombinat Nafte i Plina is established, as a result of the merger of oil and gas company Naftaplin, in Zagreb, and the oil refineries at Rijeka and Sisak.

    Nov 26, 1964 - Kombinat Nafte i Plina renames to INA.

    1966 - Lendava Refinery becomes part of INA.

    1970 - The assets of the Zagreb-based refinery, trade organisation Trgovina, organic petrochemical factories OKI and DINA and fertilizer plant Kutina are included in INA's assets.

    1990 - INA is registered as a state-owned company under the Law on the Conversion of Social Enterprises.

    1993 - The company transforms into a joint-stock company.

    Mar 8, 2002 - INA d.d. transfers 21.37% of the shares of pipeline operator JANAF d.d., based in Zagreb, to the Croatian government. INA's share in JANAF after the transaction stands at 16%.

    Mar 19, 2002 - The Government launches the privatisation of INA d.d.

    Nov 10, 2003 - Hungarian oil and gas company MOL Magyar Olaj-es Gazipari NyRt. acquires 25% plus one share in INA d.d.

    2005 - The state transfers 7.0% of INA d.d. to the Fund of Croatian War Veterans of Homeland War and their Family Members.

    2006 - The company lists on the Zagreb Stock Exchange and the London Stock Exchange.

    Mar 28, 2007 - INA d.d, in a consortium with MOL Magyar Olaj-es Gazipari NyRt., acquires a 67% stake in oil company Energopetrol d.d., based in Bosnia and Herzegovina, for a total of HRK 132 mln.

    September 2007 - The shares of London-based Interina Ltd. are transferred to INA d.d. by the company's subsidiary Interina Holding Ltd, the UK.

    Sept 8, 2008 - MOL Magyar Olaj-es Gazipari NyRt. acquires shares from the minority shareholders and increases its stake to 47.16%.

    Nov 12, 2008 - INA d.d. shares are included in the Dow Jones STOXX Eastern Europe TMI Index.

    May 23, 2011 - The company takes over local company Proplin d.o.o.

    Dec 26, 2012 - Sinaco d.o.o. merges into INA d.d.

    Nov 3, 2014 - The company's subsidiary Prirodni plin d.o.o. Zagreb merges into INA-Industrija Nafte d.d. and ceases to exist as a separate legal entity.

    Oct 5, 2015 - INA-Industrija Nafte d.d. takes over its local subsidiary INA-Osijek Petrol d.d.

    Nov 15, 2018 - The company acquires a 100% stake in INA Adria B.V. (former Eni Croatia B.V.), an Italian multinational oil and gas company.
