August 23 (SeeNews) - Irish low-cost carrier Ryanair told SeeNews on Thursday that it has decided to cancel the operation of its routes from Bulgaria's Plovdiv to Brussels Charleroi and Milan Bergamo during its winter schedule due to "commercial reasons".
"Due to commercial reasons, our Plovdiv routes to/from Brussels Charleroi and Milan Bergamo will not operate this winter, as we continually review each of our 1,800 routes and put together a schedule based on historical route performance and market demand," Denis Barabas, sales and marketing deputy manager CEE and Balkans at Ryanair, told SeeNews in an emailed statement.
The company is currently finalising its summer 2019 schedule, which is expected to be announced shortly.
"We are always interested in new routes, which are dependent on available aircraft capacity, demand and a viable airport deal," the statement reads.
