Kosovo's central bank said it has granted the country's first license for cryptocurrency services to the local unit of North Macedonia-based CoinPrime.
Kosovo’s Banka Ekonomike said it booked a net profit of 5.107 million euro ($5.8 million) in the first half of the year, up from a profit of 5.106 million euro reported for the same period of last year.
The net profit of Kosovo's banks in the first half of the year reached 94.1 million euro ($107.1 million), as compared to 87.3 million euro net profit recorded in the same period of last year, the central bank said.
Kosovo's trade deficit rose to 578.3 million euro ($658.7 million) in May, from 498.3 million euro in the same month of 2025, the statistical office, ASK, said on Thursday.
Kosovo's finance ministry said on Wednesday it has signed an agreement with German development bank KFW to support the implementation of an ongoing project for the upgrade of the country's power grid with a 5 million euro ($5.7 million) grant.
