The deposits of Bulgaria's non-government sector rose by an annual 16% to 84.99 billion euro ($96.83 billion) in May, after growing at the same pace in April, the central bank said.
Bulgaria's gross external debt rose by 35% on the year to some 66.72 billion euro ($75.9 billion) at the end of April, the central bank said.
Bulgaria recorded the highest annual inflation rate under the Harmonised Index of Consumer Prices (HICP) among eurozone member states in June, at an estimated 5.3%, Eurostat said.
Bulgaria’s consumer prices are estimated to have grown by 5.6% year-on-year in June, the National Statistical Institute (NSI) said.
Loans to Bulgaria's non-government sector rose by an annual 16% to some 64.43 billion euro ($73.62 billion) in May, following an increase of 16.3% in April, the central bank said.
