June 13 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria's foreign affairs minister, Teodora Genchovska, announced her resignation on Monday, becoming the fourth and last minister from junior government coalition partner There Is Such a People (TISP) to step down to comply with a decision of party leader Slavi Trifonov to withdraw the TISP ministers from the cabinet.
Genchovska handed her resignation to prime minister Kiril Petkov and will carry out her duties until a successor is chosen, public TV broadcaster BNT reported, quoting a statement from the foreign ministry's press office.
Bulgaria's energy minister, Alexander Nikolov, submitted his resignation earlier on Monday to comply with TISP's decision to withdraw its ministers from the government.
The other two ministers from TISP - regional development minister Grozdan Karadjov and sports minister Radostin Velev, handed in their resignations last week.
Now the prime minister has to present the resignations and nominations for new cabinet ministers to parliament for approval. Prime minister Kiril Petkov has said he is prepared to run the country with a minority government.
TISP holds 25 of 240 seats in parliament. The remaining three parties of the governing coalition hold 109 seats among themselves.
