December 27 (SeeNews) - The Romanian stock indices ended higher on Thursday as turnover slightly decreased, bourse data showed.
The blue-chip BET index of the Bucharest Stock Exchange, BVB [BSE:BVB], advanced 2.26% to 5,128.40 points.
The BET-BK, which tracks the 25 most traded companies on the bourse, including the blue chips and the five regional investment funds, the SIFs, gained 1.81% to 1,052.02 points.
The BET-FI, which tracks the SIFs and property restitution fund Fondul Proprietatea [BSE:FP], increased 2.53% to 25,426.34 points.
The composite BET-C index appreciated 1.94% to 2,771.14 points.
The ROTX index of Romania's 15 most liquid stocks, a joint index of the Bucharest bourse and the Vienna Stock Exchange, rose 2.02% to 10,403.04 points.
BVB's total equity turnover fell to 19.4 million lei ($5.8 million/4.4 million euro) from 21.6 million lei on December 21. The bourse was closed on December 24-26 due to the Christmas holidays.
Blue chip Banca Transilvania [BSE:TLV], jumped 4.07% to 1.28 lei in Thursday's largest turnover worth 3.7 million lei. Banca Transilvania was the top gainer among blue chips.
SIF Banat Crisana [BSE:SIF1] was the top SIF gainer, adding 4.27% to 1.22 lei in deals worth 718,500 lei.
The BET-XT index, which tracks the 25 most liquid companies on the bourse, climbed 2.55% to 486.20 points.
The BET-NG, which includes companies from the energy sector and utilities, closed 1.89% higher at 612.82 points.
Rasdaq-C, the composite index of the over-the-counter market RASDAQ, inched down 0.02% to 1,423.48 points. RASDAQ turnover slumped to 450,900 lei from 3.1 million lei on Friday.
