LJUBLJANA (Slovenia), March 19 (SeeNews) – A consortium led by Slovenia's Kolektor CPG won contracts for the construction of both sections of the second track of the Divaca-Koper railway line, state-run project company 2TDK said.
The 2TDK supervisory board selected the consortium comprising Kolektor CPG and Turkish companies Yapi Merkezi and Ozaltin as a contractor for the construction of the Crni Kal-Koper section of the railway line, the state-run company said in a statement earlier this week.
On March 10, the supervisory board of 2TDK approved the selection of the consortium for the construction of Divaca-Crni Kal, the first section of the 27.1 km railway.
The consortium placed the sole financial offer of 224.7 million euro ($267.4 million) in a tender for the construction of the Crni Kal-Koper section last week. It also submitted an offer of 403.6 million euro for the Divaca-Crni Kal section earlier in March.
Luka Koper, the company operating Slovenia's Adriatic port of Koper, said in April it expects that the second railway track to Divaca will begin operations in 2026.
