March 9 (SeeNews) - A consortium led by Slovenia's Kolektor CPG has placed the sole financial offer in a tender for the construction of the Crni Kal-Koper section of a second track of the Divaca-Koper railway line, the state-run project company 2TDK said.
The consortium comprising Kolektor CPG and Turkish companies Yapi Merkezi and Ozaltin placed a 224.7 million euro ($267.4 million) financial offer, 2TDK said in a statement on Monday.
The offer is below the limit of 472 million euro set for the project and is considered to be valid, 2TDK said.
The consortium of Kolektor CPG, Yapi Merkezi and Ozaltin also submitted a 403.6 million euro offer for the Divaca-Crni Kal section of the 27.1 km-long railway line, 2TDK said last week. The only other offer for that section, of a tie-up of Austria's Strabag, Germany's Ed. Zublin and Turkey's Gulermak, was worth 463.5 million euro.
Luka Koper, the company operating Slovenia's Adriatic port of Koper, said in April it expects that the second railway track to Divaca will begin operations in 2026.
