February 9 (SeeNews) - Serbia's energy ministry said Israeli waste-to-energy company Madei Taas has expressed interest in investments in combined heat and power generation (CHP) and electricity cogeneration projects in the country.
Madei Taas is already in contact with several private and public entities in Serbia, the country's energy ministry said in a statement on Thursday.

Now is the best investment period for the Serbian energy industry, as the projects currently being developed will determine the country as a leader in the sector in the region, energy minister Aleksandar Antic said during a meeting with representatives of Madei Taas and Israeli ambassador to Serbia Alona Fisher-Kamm.
Madei Taas is a Chanel Partner General Electric for the Jenbacher and Waukesha brands. The company has installed a total of 30 units of GE Gas engines so far, with a total capacity of 35 MW.
