July 15 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria's state-owned National Railway Infrastructure Company (NRIC) said on Monday it has opened a 79.8 million levs ($46.0 million/40.8 million euro) tender for modernisation of Plovdiv railway station.
The project is backed by funding from the EU's Innovation and Networks Executive Agency (INEA), NRIC said in a tender notice.
The project which will be implemented in three stages, envisages design, construction works on the rail tracks, the overhead power lines, the signalling and communication systems well as construction of an underpass and overpasses in the area of the railway station of Bulgaria's second biggest city.
The deadline for submitting offers is September 19. Price offers will carry 60% weight in the ranking of bids.
All works are expected to be completed within 1066 days after their start.
