January 21 (SeeNews) - The share indices of the Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE) fell on Thursday, with hotel operator Arena Hospitality Group [ZSE:ARNT] pacing the blue-chip decliners, bourse data showed.
Arena's shares closed 5.29% lower at 322 kuna on Thursday.
Consumer goods distributor Atlantic Grupa [ZSE:ATGR] was the only gainer, closing 1.47% higher at 1,380 kuna.
Among the other blue-chip companies on the bourse, six fell, two closed flat and one did not trade on Thursday.
The shares of tourism company Valamar Riviera [ZSE:RIVP] generated the largest single turnover among the blue chips - of 2.44 million kuna ($390,000/320,000 euro), including a 2.04 million kuna block transaction. The company's stock price fell 2.21% to 31 kuna.
The ZSE's total trading turnover rose to 14.4 million kuna on Thursday, from 4.4 million kuna on Wednesday.
The ZSE's 25-share benchmark CROBEX index fell 0.78% to 1,808.19 on Thursday after rising 0.24% on Wednesday.
The narrower of the ZSE's two blue-chip indices, the CROBEX10, which tracks the leading companies in terms of free float, market capitalisation and liquidity, dropped 0.87% to 1,133.11 on Thursday after rising 0.26% on Wednesday.
