January 20 (SeeNews) - Hungarian low-cost carrier Wizz Air said on Monday that it will start flights from Bulgaria's capital Sofia to Russia's Saint Petersburg on July 2.
The route will be operated three times per week, Wizz Air said in a statement.
Wizz Air will become the only company operating flights from Sofia to Saint Petersburg, it added.
Wizz Air, which started operations in Bulgaria in 2005, currently operates 49 routes from three Bulgarian airports - Sofia, Varna and Burgas. The air carrier has nine aircraft based in Bulgaria - seven in Sofia and two in Varna.
