May 21 (SeeNews) - The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) has donated another $1 million (911,992 euro) to Bosnia to help the country respond to the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) outbreak, USAID Bosnia said.
The proceeds should be used to prepare Bosnia's laboratory systems, activate case-finding and event-based surveillance, support experts for response and preparedness, bolster risk communication, USAID Bosnia said in its Facebook account on Wednesday.
Up to date, the US government has donated through USAID $2.2 million to assist Bosnia's fight against COVID-19.
Bosnia has 2,350 confirmed COVID-19 cases as of Thursday, including 136 fatalities, according to official tally.
