May 23 (SeeNews) - Turkish construction company Tefken Insaat ve Tesisat has won a 1.159 billion lei ($252.1 million/233.3 million euro) tender for the construction of the last unallotted section of the A7 motorway, which is being built in eastern Romania, the national road infrastructure company, CNAIR, said.
Tefken has 20 months from the moment the contract is signed to deliver the works, CNAIR said in a press release on Monday.
The Pietroasele-Buzau motorway segment will have a length of 13.9 km and will also include eight bridges.
Funding for the project will be provided from Romania’s National Recovery and Resilience Plan.
Tefken Insaat ve Tesisat was established in 1956 and currently operates in the area of heavy civil engineering works, with more than 360 projects delivered thus far.
