March 7 (SeeNews) - Poland’s Solaris Bus & Coach, a unit of Spain’s Construcciones y Auxiliar de Ferrocarriles (CAF), will deliver 18 electric buses worth over 16 million euro ($17 million) in total to the Romanian city of Cluj-Napoca, city mayor Emil Boc said on Tuesday.
The buses will connect Cluj-Napoca to the adjacent locality of Floresti and will be delivered in the coming 12 months, Boc said in a social media post.
Financing was secured through Romania's National Recovery and Resilience Plan.
Besides the buses, Solaris will also deliver six quick charging stations and 18 slow charging stations as part of the transaction. Each bus can carry 131 passengers.
