September 11 (SeeNews) - Stolichen Avtotransport, the public bus transport company of Bulgaria’s capital Sofia, said on Wednesday that it has launched a tender for awarding contracts for supply of 52 new electric buses and charging stations for them, worth an estimated total of 27.6 million levs ($15.6 million/14.1 million euro).
The tender is divided into two lots, one envisaging the supply of 30 buses with a length of 5.5-7.5 metres, and another for supply of 22 buses with a length of 7.6-9.6 metres, municipally-owned Stolichen Avtotransport said in a tender notice.
Lot 1 has an estimated value of 12.5 million levs, while Lot 2 is estimated at 15.1 million levs.
The contracts is expected to benefit from EU funding under Operational Programme Environment 2014-2020.
The deadline for submitting offers is October 21.
Bids will be ranked based on price, which carries 55% weight, as well as warranty conditions, technical characteristics, etc.
