November 29 (SeeNews) - The blue-chip SOFIX index of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange ended a four-day losing streak on Friday, closing 0.59% higher at 546.57 points after shedding 1.43% on Thursday, bourse data showed.
Diversified group Holding Varna [BSE:52V] led gainers on Friday, as its shares added 4.74% to 39.8 levs ($22.4/20.3 euro), followed by Doverie United Holding [BSE:5DOV] with a 2.07% gain.
Financial and insurance group Eurohold Bulgaria [BSE:4EH] was the top decliner among the SOFIX members, dropping 4.11% to 1.40 levs.
The wider BGBX40 index, which tracks the 40 most traded shares on the Sofia bourse, increased 0.71% to 108.79 points, while the BGTR30 index, in which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight, added 0.53% to 495.69 points.
The BGREIT index, which tracks real estate investment trusts, was the only index to close lower on Friday. It lost 0.09% to 128.71 due to a 0.50% drop in the share price of Bulgarian Real Estate Fund [BSE:5BU].
Total regulated market trading turnover jumped to 1.8 million levs on Friday from just 145,000 levs on Thursday, boosted by ten deals in Eurohold Bulgaria's shares.
