May 16 (SeeNews) - Slovenia's economic output rose by a real 9.8% year-on-year in the first quarter of 2022 and by 0.8% compared to the fourth quarter of last year, the statistical office said on Monday.
In the first quarter of 2022, gross fixed capital formation increased by 12.7%, while changes in inventories had a positive impact on GDP growth equal to 2.3 percentage points, the statistical office said in a statement.
Household final consumption expenditure increased by 20% in the first quarter of 2022, exports grew by an annual 7.7%, while imports were up 15.7%.
Last month, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) downgraded its economic growth forecast for Slovenia in 2022 to 3.7% from 4.6% predicted in October.
