February 21 (SeeNews) - New passenger car registrations in Slovenia rose by 2.4% on the year in January, to 4,425, the European Automobile Manufacturers Association (ACEA) said on Tuesday, quoting provisional figures.
In January, petrol remained the most popular fuel type for newly-registered cars in Slovenia, with a market share of 62%, followed by diesel with 17.6% and hybrid passenger car registrations with a 9.8% market share, ACEA said in a statement.
In January 2023, the European Union passenger car market grew by 11.3% to 760,041 units. However, this was largely due to an unusually modest base of comparison in 2022, when the lowest January volume on record was reached, ACEA added in the statement.
New passenger car registrations in Slovenia fell by 14.2% on the year in 2022, to 46,339, ACEA said last month.
