May 23 (SeeNews) - Slovenia's consumer confidence indicator remained unchanged in May, after decreasing by 1 percentage point (pp) in the preceding month, the country's statistical office said.
In annual terms, consumer confidence grew by 2 pps in May, the statistical office said in a statement posted on its website.
Consumers' expectations for major purchases improved and about households' finances improved by 2 pps and 1 pp on a monthly level, respectively. Only the indicator of current households’ finances slightly deteriorated, by 1 pp.
The annual increase in the value of the confidence indicator resulted from more optimistic consumer expectations about households' finances, up 10 pp and about the country’s economy, up 6 pps. On the other hand, opinions on current households' finances deteriorated by 9 pps. The indicator of expectations about major purchases remained flat.
