LJUBLJANA (Slovenia), January 20 (SeeNews) – The number of building permits issued in Slovenia in 2020 declined 6% to 5,792, the office of national statistics said on Wednesday.
Residential buildings permits declined 4% in 2020, whereas permits for non-residential buildings went down 7%, the statistical office said in a statement.
In December alone, the number of building permits issued in Slovenia grew by 1% month-on-month to 599, the statistical office said without providing annual comparison.
A total of 429 permits were issued for dwellings in December, up 30% on a monthly comparison basis.
The floor area of the buildings for which permits were issued in October stood at 196,817 sq m, up 48.8% compared to a month earlier, the statement read, without providing annual comparison.
