January 20 (SeeNews) - Romanian railway operator CFR forwarded to the country's electronic system for public procurement, SEAP, documentation related to a 471 million lei ($103.4 million/95.6 million euro) tender for the modernisation of the Bucharest North train station, transport minister Sorin Grindeanu said on Friday.
The tender will be launched after validation from SEAP, Grindeanu said in a social media post.
Financing will be secured through EU funds and co-financing from the Romanian state.
The contract constitutes the first phase of the railway station’s modernisation and encompasses design and execution works.
In 2019, CFR signed an 11.3 million lei contract with local company Consis Proiect for the feasibility study of a project for an upgrade of the Bucharest North train station.
