November 20 (SeeNews) - North Macedonia-based brewer and soft drinks producer Prilepska Pivarnica [MSE:PPIV] said that its net profit plunged by an annual 72% to 40.2 million denars ($723,000/654,000 euro) in the first nine months of 2019.
Prilepska Pivarnica's operating revenue remained unchanged year-on-year at 1.5 billion denars in the January-September period of 2019, the company said in an interim financial statement.
The company's operating expenses rose 8% on the year to 1.47 billion denars.
Cost of goods sold increased 27% to 346.1 million denars, while expenses for hired services jumped 30% to 128.9 million denars.
Prilepska Pivarnica was founded in 1924. It produces beer under the trademarks Zlaten Dab and Krali Marko and holds the licences for distributing Tuborg and Carlsberg brands in Macedonia. It also produces carbonated non-alcoholic drinks, fruit nectar soft drinks and bottles the products of Pepsi Cola International.
