March 5 (SeeNews) - Liberty [MSE:RZLV], the North Macedonia-based unit of UK industrial and metals company Liberty House Group, said it closed 2020 with a net profit of 1.9 billion denars ($37 million/31 million euro), compared to a loss of 592.2 million denars booked in 2019.
The company boosted its operating revenues to 8.5 billion denars in 2020, up 30% year-on-year, while its operating costs fell 11.4% to 6.2 billion denars, it said in an annual financial statement earlier this week.
Domestic sales fell by 2% on the year to 1.1 billion denars, while sales abroad slightly rose by 0.5% to 5.4 billion denars.
Liberty's shares last traded on the Macedonian Stock Exchange on March 2 at an average price of 52 denars.
Liberty produces cold-rolled coils and sheets, galvanized and pre-painted coils, mainly for the general industry segment on the regional market. Liberty House Group acquired the Skopje-based company from Luxembourg-based steel producer ArcelorMittal in July 2019.
