October 17 (SeeNews) - North Macedonia-based drug maker Alkaloid [MSE:ALK] said on Thursday that it has repurchased 7,016 own shares at a price of 10,800 denars ($195/175 euro) per share on October 16.
Following the repurchase, Alkaloid owns 21,757 own shares, equal to 1.52% of its capital, the company said in a bourse filing.
Alkaloid shares traded at an average price of 11,015.23 denars on the stock exchange in Skopje on Thursday.
Alkaloid has two subsidiaries in Macedonia, as well as 16 subsidiaries and three representative offices abroad - in Serbia, Montenegro, Kosovo, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Slovenia, Switzerland, Bulgaria, Turkey, Ukraine, Russia, and the US.
Alkaloid employs 1,580 people in Macedonia and 420 people in its subsidiaries outside the country.
