February 6 (SeeNews) - Three of the five indices of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) lost ground on Tuesday, with the blue-chip SOFIX slipping 0.15% to 777.84 points, bouse data showed.
The benchmark index was driven down by First Investment Bank, or Fibank, [BUL:FIB], which fell by 2.52% to 2.32 levs, and diversified group Chimimport [BUL:CHIM], which dipped by 1.69% to 0.70 levs.
The constituent that gained the most, however, was fertiliser producer Neochim [BUL:NEOH], which jumped by 4.35% to 24.00 levs.
Fibank and Chimimport also pressed the BGBX40, which tracks the 40 most traded shares on the Sofia bourse. The index ended the session 0.08% lower at 161.67 points.
The BEAMX index, which tracks the ten most highly capitalised growth companies, slumped by 1.35% to 97.50 points. It was hit by a 3.74% drop in organic foods producer and distributor Smart Organic [BUL:SO] to 20.60 levs and a 3.15% tumble in Dronamics Capital [BUL:DRON] to 2.46 levs.
In contrast, the rise at Neochim boosted the BGTR30, in which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight. The index advanced by 0.16% to 807.74 points, additionally pushed up by software developer Sirma Group Holding [BUL:SGH], which grew by 2.07% to 0.74 levs.
The BGREIT, which tracks seven real estate investment trusts, added 0.13% to 190.04 points as Advance Terrafund REIT [BUL:ATER] increased by 0.61% to 3.32 levs.
Total turnover on the main market of the Sofia bourse sank to a little over 1.13 million levs ($620,689/577,758 euro) on Tuesday from roughly 2.36 million levs a day earlier.
Pawnshop chain operator Sofia Commerce-Pawn Brokerage [BUL:SCOM] was the day's most liquid stock, generating a turnover of 450,275 levs after 128,650 shares changed hands. The stock closed 0.57% higher at 3.50 levs.
