November 30 (SeeNews) - Three of the four main indices of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) closed higher on Wednesday, with blue-chip SOFIX increasing by 0.80% to 603.44 points thanks to gains at fertiliser producer Neochim [BUL:NEOH] and First Investment Bank, or Fibank, [BUL:FIB].
Neochim rose by 5.61% to 45.20 levs, while Fibank climbed by 5.11% to 1.85 levs with 8,794 shares traded.
The two companies also supported the BGTR30 index, in which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight. Eventually, the index closed 0.57% higher at 725.58 points.
At the same time, the BGBX40 index, which tracks the 40 most traded shares on the Sofia bourse, climbed by 0.47% to 138.37 points. The top gainer was Oil and Gas Exploration and Production [BUL:NGAZ], which jumped by 6.52% to 7.35 levs. The index was additionally backed by Neochim and Fibank.
The only index to decline on Wednesday was the BGREIT, which tracks seven real estate investment trusts. The index slipped by 0.04% to 181.78 points as Bulgarian Real Estate Fund [BUL:BREF] fell by 0.97% to 2.04 levs.
Total turnover on the main market of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange rose to 1.93 million levs ($1.02 million/986,793 euro) on Wednesday from 1.34 million levs a day earlier.
The top stock by turnover was Alteron REIT [BUL:ALT], which generated 484,968 levs with 22,207 shares traded. The stock closed flat at 24 levs.
