- The Russian manager of local hotel Queen of Montenegro, Korston Group, laid off almost the entire staff last week, saying the hotel will be closed for the winter, the daily said. The hotel’s previous manager, Montenegrin Adriatic Express, is reportedly surprised by the move as the Russian company is contractually obliged to keep the hotel open year round and to retain the payroll. Adriatic Express is therefore considering canceling the sale contract, the daily said.
- The first edition of the local Festival Real Estate Investments (FREI) will take place from November 10 to November 14, the Montenegrin Economy Ministry, which organises the event, said.

- Montenegro's Finance Ministry said it expects loan negotiations between the Montenegrin unit of Hungarian OTP Bank, CKB, and ailing aluminium smelter KAP to be completed by November 3. KAP will use the 49.68 million euro credit to settle obligations towards its employees, CKB and oil firm Montenegro Bonus. The agreements between the lender and the smelter will then have to be reviewed by the government.
