April 27 (SeeNews) - The number of foreign tourists who visited Montenegro in March rose 80% on the year to 57,262, the country's statistical office said on Thursday.
The total number of tourists who stayed in the country in March increased by an annual 67% to 65,218, the statistical office said in a monthly report.
Tourist overnights increased to 156,452 from 106,251 in March 2022.
Visitors from Germany accounted for 13% of tourist overnights spent in Montenegro in March, followed by tourists from Serbia with a 8.4% share, Russia with 5.9%, France with 5.4% and the United Kingdom with 5.3%.
Seaside resorts attracted 79% of all overnight stays, followed by the capital Podgorica with 14% and mountain resorts with 3.9% and other resorts with 2.8%.
