April 25 (SeeNews) - Montenegro's Transport Administration has opened a tender worth 11 million euro ($11.8 million) for the reconstruction of the 10.5-km Dobrakovo – Bijelo Polje section of Montenegro’s M-2 highway, the EU said on Wednesday.
The project will be financed via a loan from the European Investment Bank (EIB) and Montenegro, the EU said in a notice published on Wednesday.
The works include the construction of three roundabouts, pavements, bus stations, overhaul of two bridges and construction of thirteen retaining walls.
The deadline for the submission of bids is June 21, while the estimated duration of the works is 30 months.
The M-2 highway is the oldest connection between the coastal region and northern Montenegro. It stretches from Petrovac in the Budva municipality, through capital Podgorica, and the towns of Kolasin and Mojkovac, to the border of Serbia north of Bijelo Polje.
