January 27 (SeeNews) - Civil engineering company Energoprojekt [BEL:ENHL] generated one-third of the total stock turnover on the Belgrade bourse on Friday, ending up as the biggest loser among the blue chips, stock exchange data showed.
Energoprojekt lost 1.33% to 1,262 dinars, generating a turnover of 3.8 million dinars, as 2,994 of its shares changed hands in 24 transactions.
Belgrade share indices ended mixed.
The blue-chip BELEX15 index, which tracks the most liquid shares on the Belgrade bourse, lost 0.12% to 696.42 points. On Thursday, the index edged down by 0.14% to 697.23.
The broader BELEXline, a free‐float market capitalisation weighted index, increased by 0.09% and closed Friday's session at 1,533.98, after falling by 0.18% to 1,532.58 on Thursday.
Pharma Galenika Fitofarmacija [BEL:FITO] led the blue-chip gainers on the Belgrade stock market on Friday, adding 1.81% to 2,700 dinars per share, as 447 shares changed hands in three transactions.
Oil and gas company NIS [BEL:NIIS], a BELEX15 component, was the most traded on the Belgrade Stock Exchange on Friday, as 3,248 of its shares changed hands in a total of 96 transactions. NIS generated a share trading turnover of 2.4 million dinars, the second largest one on the Belgrade bourse on Friday. The oil and gas group was also the second-biggest loser among the blue chips, as its share price fell 0.27% to 741 dinars.
Turnover from trading in shares edged up from 11 million dinars on Thursday to 11.4 million dinars ($98,600/92,000 euro) on Friday, including 7.7 million dinars contributed by the BELEX15 components. Trading in shares on the multilateral trading facility (MTP) segment contributed 1.1 million dinars to the total turnover on the Belgrade stock market on Friday.
No Treasury bonds changed hands on Friday on the Belgrade stock exchange.
In the period between January 23 and January 27, BELEX15 and BELEXline lost 0.72% and 0.40%, respectively. BELEX15 closed in the red in each of the five trading sessions in the period, while BELEX15 gained ground on Monday and Friday and declined in each of the other three sessions.
Shares in lender Komercijalna banka [BEL:KMBN] advanced the most among the blue chips between January 23 and 27. The stock added 2.62% and closed at 1,725 dinars on Friday. Cookware maker Metalac [BEL:MTLC] fell the most in the period, down 5.17%.
Oil and gas company NIS [BEL:NIIS] was the most traded stock between January 23 and January 27, as a total of 13,269 shares changed hands. The turnover from trading in NIS shares amounted to 9.9 million dinars.
The total value of trading in shares on the Belgrade stock market this week was 124.5 million dinars, versus 94.2 million dinars in the previous week. Trading in Treasury bonds contributed 336.8 million dinars to this week's total trading turnover of 461.3 million dinars on the bourse. Last week, the trading in Treasury bonds amounted to 611.6 million dinars out of a total trading turnover of 705.8 million dinars.
Treasury bonds of two issues were traded on the stock market in the period between January 23 and January 27. A total of 2,500 bonds of the euro-denominated RSO16143 issue were traded on Tuesday, generating a revenue of 311.7 million dinars. The two-year RSO16143 issue matures on August 1, 2018 and bears an annual coupon of 1%. On Thursday, 2,345 bonds of the two-year dinar-denominated RSO15109 issue, maturing on April 6, 2017, were traded, generating a turnover of 25.1 million dinars. The RSO15109 issue bears an annual coupon of 8%.
