July 2 (SeeNews) - Croatian shipping company Uljanik Plovidba [ZSE:ULPL] has delivered the oldest tanker in its fleet, the Kastav, to the Marshal Islands buyers, it said on Tuesday.
"It is expected that the sale will have a positive impact on the equity position of the group. The company is continuing work on the financial restructuring with the purpose to further strengthen the financial position of the group," Uljanik Plovidba said in a filing to the Zagreb Stock Exchange.
The delivery took place at the Chinese port of Nantong, Uljanik Plovidba said in a filing to the Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE).
Uljanik Plovidba said last week that it has signed an agreement for the sale of the Kastav as the first step in the company's financial restructuring. The price of the deal was not disclosed.
The Kastav tanker of 52,610 t deadweight was built in 2009. It is used for transport of oil and oil products, oils and chemicals.
