July 19 (SeeNews) - Croatian state-owned fertilizer maker Petrokemija [ZSE:PTKM] led the gainers among the blue chips on Wednesday, bourse data showed.
Petrokemija's shares closed 14.7% higher at 16.15 kuna ($2.6/2.2 euro).
Hotel operator Valamar Riviera [ZSE:RIVP-R-A] generated the highest trading turnover of 2 million kuna. The company's share price rose 1.17% to 43.34 kuna.
Electrical equipment producer Koncar Elektroindustrija [ZSE:KOEI] paced the blue-chip decliners as its share price fell 1.64% to 718.05 kuna.
The bourse's total trading turnover rose to 6.4 million kuna on Wednesday compared to 4.2 million kuna on Tuesday.
The 25-share benchmark CROBEX index of the ZSE gained 0.82% to 1,859.03 points, after dropping 0.53% on Tuesday.
The narrower of the bourse's two blue-chip indices, the CROBEX10, which tracks the leading companies in terms of free float, market capitalisation and liquidity, increased 0.72% to 1,106.65 points after decreasing 0.42% in the previous trading session.
The fixed-income CROBIS index edged down 0.02% to 109.9560 points.
