July 29 (SeeNews) - State-owned Croatia Airlines said on Monday it has renewed two contracts with Germany's Lufthansa Technik for the maintenance of the six Airbus A320 aircraft in its fleet.
Croatia Airlines has extended its existing Total Component Support (TCS) contract with Lufthansa Technik by seven years, and the contract covering auxiliary power unit (APU) services by five years, the Croatian flag air carrier said in a statement.
In addition, the airline will also start using Lufthansa Technik’s independent and open digital platform for the aviation industry AVIATAR.
“With the extended contracts, Croatia Airlines is once again expressing its long-standing trust in Lufthansa Technik. In 2017 we commemorated 25 years of corporation," Lufthansa Technik's senior executive corporate sales Europe, Jens Henningsen, said.
"We will continue working very closely together as partners to ensure the highest reliability, performance and safety."
Lufthansa Technik has been a maintenance partner of Croatia Airlines since 1992, when it started supporting the Boeing 737 fleet of Croatia Airlines. In 1997, when Croatia Airlines included its first Airbus A320 in its fleet, Lufthansa Technik was also chosen as a provider of Total Technical Support (TTS) services.
