November 3 (SeeNews) - Bulgarian thermal power plant (TPP) Bobov Dol [BUL:TC8A] said its non-consolidated net loss narrowed to 4.4 million levs ($2.2 million/2.25 million euro) in the first nine months of 2022 from 18.8 million levs in the same period of 2021.
The company's revenue increased to 127.3 million levs in the first three quarters of this year from 109.3 million levs in the comparable period last year, TPP Bobov Dol said in an interim financial statement earlier this week.
The power plant's operating expenses expanded to 130.3 million levs from 90.4 million levs, driven by higher cost of materials and expenses for external services.
According to the financial statement, local consortium Energy MK which bought the power plant in 2008, held a stake of 95.56% as of the end of September.
TPP Bobov Dol, established in 2000, is located in Kyustendil region, in southwestern Bulgaria and has an installed capacity of 630 megawatts.
In September, the company said it is investing about 100 million levs in the construction of a 100-MW solar plant which will enable the production of green hydrogen to help cut the plant's carbon emissions.
As at 1041 CET on Thursday, shares in TPP Bobov Dol traded flat at 100 levs on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange.
