March 1 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria produced 12.6% less electricity in annual terms, or 4,383 GWh, in December last year, although power output was up 4.5% on a monthly comparison basis, the National Statistical Institute (NSI) said on Wednesday.
The country's overall output of oil products rose by 49.1% on the year to 516,000 tonnes in the last month of 2022, again due to planned repairs of production installations carried out in the year prior, the statistical office said in a monthly report. There was, however, a 22.6% monthly drop in total petroleum products output.
In December, deliveries of petrol surged by an annual 69.2% while supply of liquefied petroleum gases (LPG) increased by 44.7%, the data showed.
By contrast, Bulgaria recorded a 23.9% decline in deliveries of natural gas compared to December 2021 while deliveries of electricity were 3.5% lower year-on-year.
Compared to November, double-digit increases were reported in the deliveries of LPG, natural gas, electricity, transport diesel and petrol.
