January 14 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria's state-run railway infrastructure company NRIC has updated the timetable of the tender for the construction of an intermodal terminal near the city of Plovdiv, local media reported.
The bidding deadline has now been extended to January 25 from January 10, news weekly Stroitelstvo Gradat reported.
Bids will be opened on January 28.
In November Bulgaria's state-run railway infrastructure company NRIC invited bids for the construction of an intermodal terminal near the city of Plovdiv. The project provides for the construction of terminal site, storage containers, special places for reefer units, office buildings, customs warehouse, as well as parking lots for trucks and cars, on a total area of 68,870 metres.
The intermodal terminal near the second largest Bulgarian city will be part of EU-defined transport corridors IV, VIII and X.
It will be funded through an 8.3 million euro ($11.1 million) grant by the EU under operational programme Transport.
