November 16 (SeeNews) - Bulgarian fertiliser producer Neochim [BUL:NEOH] said on Wednesday that it expects to resume normal production at its nitric acid unit by November 20 as the company needs more time to fix a technical problem.
While establishing the exact nature of the damage, Neochim identified new circumstances leading to extended time for repair works, the company said in a bourse filing.
The extended period was announced after Neochim first said on November 11 that it hopes to remove the issue within seven days.
The company stopped the nitric acid production unit on November 7 due to a glitch related to a low pressure turbine.
Operations at the facility were also temporarily halted in October because of a technical problem which was subsequently resolved.
As at CET 1455 on Wednesday, shares in Neochim traded 3.74% lower at 41.20 levs on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange.
