November 27 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria's business sentiment index edged up 0.4 percentage points on the month in November, after falling by 1.3 percentage points a month earlier, the National Statistics Institute (NSI) said on Friday.
The construction sub-index lost 2.9 points due to managers' pessimistic assessments and expectations about the business situation. Overall, managers continue to expect a fall in prices over the next three months.
The retail sub-index remained unchanged in November. The main limiting factor for the activity remains the uncertain economic situation. Managers in the secor expect no change in prices.
The index gauging the business climate in the services sector gained 2.6 percentage points due to the managers' more optimistic expectations for the business situation over the next six months. Overall, they see prices falling in the next three months.
The November industry sub-index gained 1.0 percentage point due to the managers' improved assessments of the present business situation, but they expect a slight decrease in the next six months. Managers continue to consider the present economic situation uncertain but expect prices to remain unchanged over the next three months.
