September 26 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria's Stara Zagora regional environmental inspectorate ended on September 24 the shut down of six boilers of thermal power plant (TPP) Brikel after the company complied with measures prescribed by the authority, the country's environmental ministry said.
The boilers were shut down on September 9.
TPP Brickel has removed the biomass fuel, which was found at its site during the initial check on September 3, and which it does not have permission to use as fuel, the ministry said in a statement earlier this week.
The power plant operator has also installed a live video monitoring system and given access to local authorities, the ministry noted.
TPP Brikel, located in Galabovo, in the Stara Zagora region, has six boilers with a rated capacity of 60 MW and four turbines with a rated capacity of 50 MW.
