October 19 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria's economy expanded by 3.9% in real terms in 2022, the statistical office said on Thursday, revising upwards an earlier preliminary growth estimate of 3.4%.
The country's 2022 gross domestic product (GDP) amounted to 167.8 billion levs ($90.6 billion/85.8 billion euro) at current prices, the NSI said in a data release.
The gross value added (GVA) generated by the Bulgarian economy in 2022 came in at 149.2 billion levs at current prices.
Last week, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) projected Bulgaria's real economy to grow by 1.7% in 2023.
