July 14 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria has awarded a 119.80 million levs ($69.9 million/61.29 million euro) contract for the construction of a section of Hemus motorway to a tie-up comprising local companies Infra Expert, Patengineeringstroy-T, Avtomagistrali-Tcherno more and Transconsult 22, the country's road infrastructure agency said on Friday.
The project design and construction of the 16 km section near Turgovishte, in northeastern Bulgaria, should be completed in 910 days, the agency said in a statement.
Works under the project include construction of six viaducts.
Hemus motorway is designed to connect the capital Sofia with the Black Sea city of Varna. The planned length of the whole motorway, part of which is operational, is 433 km.
