July 6 (SeeNews) - The Sarajevo Stock Exchange (SASE) said that Srebrenik-based food company Majevica [SAJ:MJVCRK3] is replacing aluminium producer Aluminij [SAJ:ALUMR] in the blue-chip SASX-10 index, effective as of July 6.
The change in the SASX-10 composition is a result of its second regular revision for 2020, SASE said in a statement on Friday.
Majevica's shares last traded on February 3, closing flat at 7.0 marka ($4.0/3.6 euro). Its single largest shareholder is Tuzla-based retailer Bingo with a 35% stake, followed by transport firm Denix with 27%, and smaller shareholders.
Aluminij's shares last traded on March 18, closing up 20% at 30 marka.
In April, Israel's M.T. Abraham Group and its partners China Machinery Engineering Corporation (CMEC) and China Nonferrous Metal Industry’s Foreign Engineering & Construction Co., Ltd. (NFC) signed a deal with Aluminij, opening the way for restarting production at the ailing aluminum producer. Aluminij halted operations in July 2019 after its power supply was cut off due to swelling unpaid bills.
