SARAJEVO (Bosnia and Herzegovina), January 13 (SeeNews) – Bosnian drug maker Bosnalijek [SAJ:BSNLR] said it posted a preliminary net profit of 10 million marka ($6.0 million/5.1 million euro) in 2014.
The drug maker generated a net profit of 113,000 marka in 2013.
Sales revenues rose 21% to record-high 120 million marka in 2014 while earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) doubled to 20 million marka, Bosnalijek said in a statement on Monday.
The company said that its sales on the domestic market, which account for 34% of total sales, turned to growth in 2014 for the first time in seven years.
Preliminary data also indicated that improvements have been made in all financial parameters on the local market, including the company’s assets that rose by 3.0% to 208 million marka.
Bosnalijek’s exports rose by 78 million marka in 2014, with the Russian Federation being the company's top market abroad.
The company markets its product in 13 countries and employs over 700 in Bosnia.
